If you're having difficulty setting up your email account with Outlook 2007, follow these instructions:


From the Tools menu select Account Settings...

This will open the following window:

If creating a new account click New... or click Change... if you have an email account set up that you wish to edit. If you are adding a new account the following screen appears:

Fill in the following information:

Your Name Your name goes here.
E-mail Address Your email address is username@yourdomain.com
Password Your password is personally given to you
Retype Password Confirmation of password entered

Now click on Next to continue.

When Outlook as finished testing the account information you entered, check Manually configure server settings and then click Next.

Confirm that the following information is entered:

Your Name Your name goes here.
E-mail Address Your email address is username@yourdomain.com
Incoming Mail Server Your email address is imaxmail.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Your email address is imaxmail.com
Username Your POP3 user name is username@yourdomain.com
Password Your password is personally given to you

Make sure Require logon using Secure Password Authentication is not checked and then click More Settings... for the following window to pop up.

Click the Outgoing Server tab and make sure the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.

Now click the Advanced tab.

Make sure the Outgoing server (SMTP) port is 587 and the Incoming Server (POP3) port is 110. Uncheck This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) and select None in the drop down box for Use the following type of encrypted connection. Click OK to close this window and Next to bring up the last screen.

Click on Finish to save these settings. You can now send and receive mail with your iMaxWebSolutions account.
